Creating art has always just felt right to me. It allows me to feel free from outside constraints. It allows me to be me. It's what makes me feel alive. . . It's as simple as that.
Accidental discoveries from intuitive impulses are what fuel my work. My best work comes when I stop thinking and truly work uninhibited. I allow my emotional impulses to decide what comes next. Thought is analytical while emotion creates impulses of truth. This only works when you don't cover up the truth of your emotions. Imperfections with oneself and with ones art are real and breed originality. Experimental techniques and successes from imperfections are essential to my work. Imagery and words come from where ever I am in the moment as I layer materials, and then scrape and wipe them off again to uncover the truth.....whatever that truth may be.
